Yes, depandents of a person  admitted for employment can take up employment in Hong Kong.  However, this does not apply to dependants of a person admitted to study in Hong Kong, unless with the approval from the Director of Immigration.

Yes, the dependants of a person admitted for employment can take up employment in Hong Kong.  That includes admittance as professionals, for investment as entrepreneurs and for training.

The length of stay of a dependant will normally be linked to that of the sponsor.  To apply for extension of stay, the applicant must remain an eligible dependent and the sponsor a Hong Kong resident living in Hong Kong.

Persons admitted as dependants who have ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than seven years may apply for the right of abode in Hong Kong.
